Through direct interaction with readers our goal and purpose is to teach entreprenurialship, self empowerment and improve knowledge of business ownership.

Academically :

The series was designed for elementary and middle school aged children ( 5th - 8th grade ) and targets educational needs in the area of language arts, reading, spelling, math and comprehension. Ourstory is minimal in page content for attention retention but maximizes information transfer through highly detailed illustrations, glossaries, worksheets and thought provoking questions. Jahki Publishing has spent extensive time and energy reasearching and documenting the needs of teachers and schools in need of alternative and creative teaching tools. The "No Child Left Behind" agenda is clear in it's objectives but not so proficient in it's execution. With many current methods lacking Ourstory has the capability to fill an ever increasing void. From an educational tool that is entertaining, enlightening and functional, teachers will find relief and better options to a system that could use assistance. After properly supported and continuious use of the Ourstory series readers will be able to understand and benefit academically, historically, culturally and socially.

Adaptability :

In light of our reasearch and trials Jahki Publishing has learned much about educational needs. Because of this knowledge and our willingness to accomadate, the Ourstory series is fully adaptable to any curriculum. Requirements for the Standards of Learning vary from state to state but the need for quality, versatile educational tools remains the same. Through direct one-on-one meetings or group consultations Jahki Publishing can acquire neccessary data and incorporate the specific needs of any teacher or school into the series. It is our determination to work with any educator or school system open to our unique and truly innovative products. Thanks to technological advances in communication, printing and duplication the sky really is the limit for our ability to create and accomodate. The multi-cultural aspect of it's lessons and characters makes for an intriguing and interesting storyline, while simoultaneously teaching, our three "R's" reading, respect and revelance and so much more.

The series is dedicated to recognizing and exposing all, to the wonderful men and women of all races and cultures that have positively affected the human race. As history, and in essence "Ourstory" is constantly occurring it is important to record the present day contributors as well as those of the past. The series accomplishes this by making past people and events relevant to today's people and issues. It's through connecting the current audience to times and people from the past that we insure a foundation for today and tomorrows youth. Culturally Ourstory covers the gammit of all races using the "6er's" as youth liaison ambassadors. Through time travel both backward and laterally readers meet and learn about men, women and children of every known race, creed and culture. Each "6er" is a connection to and representative of an umbrella ethnic group which covers different races more specifically within the series. Plans are underway to publish the series in as many languages as possible to reach many readers worldwide.

Empowerment :

As children read, learn and understand from Ourstory our belief at Jahki Publishing is that they will develope a sense of pride and worth associated with the connection gained from the stories. The subjects of these books may be little known but not at all of little worth. Seeing someone of great courage, respect and accomplishment who looks like they do or comes from where they are from is a wonderful way to realize one's own strength, self worth and potential.
